In 2023, the ADC commemorated 102 years of existence by inviting artists and designers around the world to collaborate with Ai to and create an original artwork—exploring the relationship between the developing technology and artists.

My process is largely improvisational, marks on paper generally evolve into form into something meaningful.
For this project I replaced the throwing paint at a canvas phase with a Midjourney generated sketch instead and developed a story from it.

In 2023, Midjourney was known to create distorted human figures with multiple eyes and fingers.
Facing increased surveillance, the growing menace of over-consumption and context collapse, I figured a figure with numerous features would be an apt portrait to paint for this opportunity. The prompt produced an abstract image that I then interpreted with graphite on paper for the show.
